The Rexford, Mont., station of the Great Northern Railway was established in 1903. It was closed in 1972 when the railroad was rerouted due to the flooding of the area behind the Libby Dam. Incorporated in 1893 under the laws of the state of Washington, the company purposed to construct and purchase telegraph lines in Washington state and elsewhere. In 1896, it purchased from D.C.
